    California State University, Âé¶¹´å students received over $4 million of federal emergency relief funding last Monday, March 15. Specifically, 5,433 students received between $200 and $800, totaling $3,328,400; and 313 DACA and international students received Institutional Emergency Relief aid, totaling $121,800.

  2. Provost Katherine Kantardjieff

    Katherine Kantardjieff joined CSU Âé¶¹´å in July 2020 as provost and vice president of academic affairs. She previously served as the founding dean of the College of Science and Mathematics at California State University, San Marcos, and the chair of the Department of Chemistry at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Prior to those positions, she taught at CSU Fullerton for 20 years. She holds a doctorate degree in physical chemistry from the University of California, LA.

    The partnership between the Monterey County chapter of the NAACP and Âé¶¹´å celebrated its 10th anniversary by honoring community leaders and social justice advocates. Three Âé¶¹´å students received awards in the Youth Black Excellence category, and two employees received African American Advocate and Champion awards.
