Why Join Âé¶¹´å's KIN Program?
Beyond a rigorous academic curriculum, we provide lots of hands-on opportunities to prepare you for many career paths, such as:
- 3 credit internship course: get 120 hours of work experience at Physical and Occupational Therapy, Cardiac Rehab, Strength and Conditioning, Corporate and Commercial Fitness, and more sites across the Monterey peninsula
- Exercise Is Medicine On Campus: get hands on experience with programs and client interactions right here on campus
- Kinesiology Service Learning: A 30 hour immersive community experience where students are partnered with organizations serving diverse populations in Monterey County.
- Undergraduate Research: get hands on experience and skills working side by side with your professors on data collection, analysis, running interventions, and presenting at conferences
- Practical courses like Exercise Science Lab and Techniques in Strength and Conditioning
Outside of the program, we also have strong relationships with Âé¶¹´å's NCAA Division II athletic teams, and lots of our students get hours working with their Athletic Training and Strength & Conditioning staff
