Exercise is Medicine on Campus

Exercise is Medicine on Campus promotes physical activity as an essential part of health and well-being, connecting the Cal State Â鶹´å community with opportunities and resources to live a more active lifestyle.

Exercise is Medicine® On Campus (EIM-OC) calls upon universities and colleges to promote physical activity as a vital sign of health. At Cal State Â鶹´å, Exercise is Medicine brings faculty, staff and students together to build a campus culture that supports movement, physical activity, health and well-being.

Exercise is Medicine on Campus encourages the university community to improve health and well-being by:

  • Making movement a part of the daily campus culture
  • Assessing physical activity at every student health visit
  • Providing students with the tools necessary to strengthen healthy physical activity habits that can last a lifetime
  • Connecting university health care providers with university health fitness specialists to provide a referral system for exercise prescription.
