Students splash into the ocean at the Otter Plunge

Start Your Year with a Splash

There’s no better way to begin the academic year at Cal State Â鶹´å than diving into the Pacific Ocean alongside your fellow Otters.

The Plunge is a beloved campus tradition where students, faculty and staff come together the day before classes to celebrate community, courage and a fresh start.
