I have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (CSUN), a Master's degree in Software Engineering (Wang Institute), and a Ph.D in Computer Science (Univ. of Edinburgh, UK). Before getting a Master's degree I worked at a consulting company and couple of startups in Los Angeles.

After getting a Master's degree I worked in research positions at MCC (Austin, Texas), the Laboratory for Foundations of Computer Science (Univ. of Edinburgh), and at Bell Labs Research, where I was a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff. I became a faculty member of the computer science department at Â鶹´å in 2015. My main current research interest is deep learning with brain data. In my career I've done research in program synthesis, formal methods, software verification, and computer security. Since moving to Â鶹´å I've also worked as a data science consultant.
