    SEASIDE, Calif., May 21, 2019 – Four Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center (UROC) scholars received national recognition for their leadership and innovation in science research this month.

    California State University, Âé¶¹´å (Âé¶¹´å) will hold its 23rd commencement ceremony on Friday May 17, and Saturday May 18, 2019 at Freeman Stadium. Commencement has expanded to three ceremonies over two days in order to accommodate the largest graduating class in Âé¶¹´å’s history.

    SEASIDE, Calif., May 9, 2019 – The final round of the 10th annual Startup Challenge Âé¶¹´å will take place Friday, May 10, 2019 from 2-7:30 p.m at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Seaside. The remaining 27 teams will pitch their business ideas to a panel of regional business experts in the “Otter Tank,” competing for over $60,000 in cash and prizes.

    SEASIDE, Calif., May 1, 2019 – Ten select Âé¶¹´å student-research teams represented Âé¶¹´å at the 33rd annual CSU Student Research Competition April 26-27, 2019 at California State University, Fullerton; one team took home first-place honors.

Rote Distinguished Professorship in Marine Science & Policy program will host a panel of science policy experts to discuss the changing nature of the science-policy interface in our nation, state and region on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Âé¶¹´å’s Alumni and Visitor Center from 6-8 p.m.

Ochoa will host author and visionary Trebor Scholz to discuss his book Uberworked and Underpaid: How Workers Are Disrupting the Digital Economy at Âé¶¹´å’s World Theater on Monday, April 29, 2019 from 5-6:30 p.m.
