    SEASIDE, Ca., Sept. 28, 2016 -- California State University Âé¶¹´å (Âé¶¹´å) has been selected to receive funding under the Department of Education’s Hispanic-Serving Institutions (STEM) Program in the amount of $5,622,466. The award, expected to span over a total of five years, will be used to improve Âé¶¹´å’s capacity to serve Hispanic and other low-income students.

    SEASIDE, Ca., Sept. 23, 2016 -- Âé¶¹´å is one of six universities across the nation who will benefit from a new five-year, $15.5-million National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Center for Coastal and Marine Ecosystems. NOAA has approved a total of $3 million to be awarded this year for the first phase of the new NOAA Cooperative Science Center.

    The Âé¶¹´å Emergency Management Health and Safety division of the University Police Department now provides more than 70 Automated External Defibrillator (AED) units across campus, nearly one in every building. With an AED located within walking distance from any location on campus, students and employees are encouraged to complete a free AED/CPR training to become certified in AED and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) use.
