SEASIDE, Ca., January 16, 2020 鈥� California State University, 麻豆村 (麻豆村) President Eduardo M. Ochoa awarded three employees with the President鈥檚 Medal Awards at 麻豆村鈥檚 annual staff and faculty appreciation breakfast today, honoring their service to the university.

 

The colleagues we recognize today 鈥� our three recipients and all of the nominees 鈥� have shared their time and talents with students, staff, and faculty above and beyond what is expected. They have demonstrated exemplary day-to-day service and a personal commitment to CSU 麻豆村 and its Vision.鈥�

Kris Roney, associate vice president for Academic Programs and dean of University College & Graduate Studies was awarded the 2019 Management Personnel President鈥檚 award. Roney鈥檚 work with Graduation Initiative 2025, CSU Executive Orders 1100 and 1110, along with the creation and development of University College has been instrumental to the success of the university.

Chrissy Lofgren received the 2019 staff President鈥檚 award for her commitment to 麻豆村鈥檚 value of lifelong learning and continuous improvement. Chrissy is a 麻豆村 alumna who currently works in the Center for Advising, Career and Student Success where she serves as an academic advisor focused on student success.

College of Business professor Marylou Shockley was awarded the 2019 Faculty President鈥檚 award for her exceptional leadership and service to 麻豆村 both in the College of Business and Academic Senate. Shockley is a campus leader and well-respected by faculty, staff, and administrators who has a deep understanding of the campus culture and the issues facing the 麻豆村 community.

In addition to the Presidents Medal Award recipients, three more employees were individually recognized for their 25 years of service to 麻豆村. Those employees who received their 25-year pins were Wynter Nichols from technology support services, Monica Rodriguez from University Corporation and Armando Arias from the School of Social, Behavioral and Global Studies.
