The U.S. Department of Education has awarded a federal Upward Bound grant of $664,032 to University Corporation at CSU Â鶹´å.

Â鶹´å Nursing program graduate Danielle Sapiens and her friend Leticia Hernandez started planning a community garden years ago in Natividad Creek Park that is now flourishing.

One win was by an undergraduate student, and one by a graduate team, at the 36th annual competition hosted virtually by San Francisco State University.

As a Hispanic-Serving Institution and advocate of celebrating diversity, Â鶹´å was proud to host its 26th annual Latinx/Chicanx Affinity Graduation Celebration.

Â鶹´å welcomed thousands to be part of the first in-person, outdoor, maskless graduation ceremony since 2019.

The award is granted to students who best demonstrate the values and commitments of Â鶹´å.

The deans of Â鶹´å’s five colleges select one outstanding graduating senior each year for the Dean’s Medalist award.

Wendy Feng has been awarded the Outstanding Senior Award for Social Justice, and Amaris Lopez has been awarded the Alumni Vision Award.

After a pandemic-induced delay of two years, the event drew about 200 guests and proceeded without a hitch.

Many 2021 grads wanted to have a traditional in-person graduation with cheering, fanfare and a stage, and they returned a year later to have it.
